Daffodils are my favorite flower.
Lucky for me, we have a hillside beside our house covered in wild daffodils.
They were planted long ago, and it seems they have taken over the entire hillside.
They are gorgeous, even though they have just begun to bloom.
They signify a new beginning. Spring is coming!

That is the most enchanting thing I've ever seen. I've never seen daffodils growing wild like that--around here they're in carefully manicured clumps in flowerbeds. Thanks for posting!
Kessie - I need to get out there and clean up the hillside in these photos - it's covered in sticks and things from the windy winter. There are trees above the daffodils - it's on the edge of the woods. I like to think that long, long ago (hundreds of years ago back when this house was NEW!) the flowers were planted by people who used to live here. Since then they've gone wild. What's cool is that we find more daffodils way out in the deep woods around here - I wonder if way back when there used to be a house in that area which is all woods now and that was the people's flower garden. It's neat to think about...

Wow! It's just beautiful!
That is beautiful. I love how they have taken over the hill.
I LOVE daffodils. They're so sunny and beautiful! And usually the deer and other critters leave them alone to multiply over the years.
Lovely, Lynn. I want to plant more daffs on our property.
