Do you think this young racoon is the culprit who has been doing in your guineas? Maybe Bobby had better dine indoors! Hope you catch whoever is doing this evil deed soon. Good luck!
Bobby needs to finish his food when you give it to him. I agree. You need to get rid of him, he might be cute, but I'm not sure he was smiling there...
Kessie - I don't think a coon was "The Monster", but a coon is still a predator and needs to go. But I agree, they are cute!
Julie - Bobby still needs to be tested for feline diseases, and get his shots before he comes inside. The 2 indoor cats can't wait for him to come in, though - they both love him. They watch him thru the windows.
Carolyn R - We seem to loose animals to various creatures- coons, fox, owls, you name it! That's part of country living, I guess!
Nancy - our coons come out during the day. We have 1 morning coon who checks the cat food bowl at about 7 or 8am every morning. Then there's the afternoon mama coon. They are smart critters and know when they can find cat food on the porch.
Zoa - The coons always pose for me. They really aren't that afraid of me, either. They've never been hurt by humans and aren't too afraid.
CAGrammy - I don't think a coon was "the Monster", but I've seen a coon fight with the guineas. Funny thing is, the guineas fought back, pecking at the coon, during that fight I saw.
LindaG - I need to pay attention and bring in Bobby's food when he's done. Sometimes i get busy and forget. Food outside brings critters, and ants on the porch, too!
Robin - What, do don't want a friendly coon as a pet?
Genny - You are right, it's never boring!
Nat - Yes, soon the mamas will start bringing the babies. We see this every year. Coon babies, opossum babies, woodchuck babies, even fox babies have visited us. My fav are the deer babies - we have 1 preggo mama deer that visits us every day. I can't wait till she has her little fawn!

So cute! I'll bet he ate your guineas, though.

I've lost more hens & chicks to raccoons than anything. Catch that bugger!
Racoons only come out at night. I hope this one wasn't sick. Would scare me!
haha! I love that he posed for your camera... hope he leaves all your other animals alone!
Cute, aren't they . . . but such a nuisance! Surely this critter couldn't be doin' your guineas in?

So cute but you can keep him. :)
How adorable is that?! Your life is never dull with all your critters and wildlife. Love this photo.
What a cute photo! And I've had plenty o' raccoons coming out in daytime, especially with their young'uns. :)
