Is it Thanksgiving yet?

The turkeys have started coming around.  Every September we start seeing flocks of turkeys.  I love how they eat all the bugs in the fields.  We always think of Thanksgiving dinner when we see them!

Turkey feathers left behind in the yard after they passed through.

I wonder if they think you think of Thanksgiving? :)

I'm so jealous! I've never seen a wild turkey and would love to. A friend raises turkeys and their colors are so subtle and beautiful.

Ohhhh--- I get hungry just thinking of Thanksgiving turkey!! I love turkey dinner. I haven't seen too many wild turkeys around here. But I haven't been looking. We saw a bear last week. A big black on crossed the road in front of us when we were out of town coming home. We were near the woods.Of course, my camera wasn't ready!!

Linda - they're too busy looking for bugs to think about us!!

Mary - They are pretty neat to see!

Barb - I love Thanksgiving, too! That's pretty neat that you saw a bear! Put your camera in your purse for next time!

Isn't it great to be able to look out and see birds and animals. The turkeys will give you quite a show in the Spring when they start their courting. Watch for it! Country living and Raspberries, that's where it is for me. Everytime I see your header I get hungry for something razzberry...

Thats nice that they don't come around until September. There are about 40 wild ones that hang around near my mom's house. They cause havoc in her garden every summer. They are neat to watch though.
