I'm recovering from having the flu the last 2 weeks. It's been a while since I was that sick.
I'm thinking about how I need to go clean the chicken coop, and I'm procrastinating. It's cozy and warm in the house. I eat an orange, trying to waste time, not wanting to go out to work.
It's
a little foggy outside - we are having unseasonably warm weather. It's
supposed to be in the upper 60's, maybe even 70's today. I looked out
my kitchen window and saw these scenarios. I have to smile. The fog makes everything look like a muted painted picture.
At first my attention was directed to a pilated woodpecker. I went to get the camera and returned to the kitchen window. I missed the woodpecker, but saw Benjamin the farm cat and the guineas. They all get along well, the guineas don't mind Benji.
Benji was hunting mice and squirrels when the guineas showed up in the yard. He went and greeted them, then went off to continue his farm cat duties.
Benji has a very thick coat for winter, as he's an outdoor only cat. He wouldn't have it any other way.
It's going to be a great week. Hope you take a moment to see how beautiful life is and enjoy it.
Now I'm going to get to work on cleaning that chicken coop...

I hope you are much improved, the flu seems to be everywhere and I am told hits with a vengence.Did you have a flu shot? I keep my finger's crossed that we here avoid it. No snow? I am headiing out to clean the coop too, we here have fog with temperatures in the forties, but cold weather is returning later in the week. I hope you feel like your "old self" soon, greetings from Maine, Julie.
I hope you are feeling better, I've had it too... just want to stay in and be warm. Benji is gorgeous!
Glad to hear you are getting better. Hope everyone stays well.
Take care and have a blessed Sunday. ♥
Beautiful, atmospheric pics! Benji is great. And I hope you feel better soon.
Where is the pilated woodpecker in the first photo? I couldn't find him! It is just like a puzzle we have here at our house. It is a picture of a light house and a light house keeper and the box says there is a hidden angel in the picture! It took us a long time to find it! Check out my blog for my pictures of our Haitian mission trip. Barb's This and That!!
Reading your post, remebering the foggy, misty days last week. And today, I woke up and it was 19 degrees outside and only supposed to get up to 29! This weather is crazy but at least it now feels more like winter to me. I'm so sorry you're sick. I've been so lucky. I haven't even had a sniffle this winter. I did get a flu shot but there are lots of people down this year. Keeping my fingers crossed that my health streak stays strong. Feel better, my friend.
I should be cleaning my hen house too! Procrastination rules!!!
